The choice of particular extruder type and downstream equipment depends on the product you are going to output as well as raw materials you plan to use. Single screw extruders are used to manufacture small-size PVC profiles for interior finishing (floor moldings, fillets, mounting accessories for wall panels), furniture finishing (furniture edge made of plasticized and non-plasticized PVC). Pellets and recycled materials should be used as raw materials. Twin screw extruders feature high productivity and wide range of raw materials used (dryblends, pellets, and production waste). Technical characteristics of twin screw extruders make it possible to output larger profiled PVC products including panels, window-sills, and window frame profile. Also, smaller profiles can be extruded in several simultaneous streams. The most important component of extruder responsible for trouble-free manufacture process is a screw. Screws installed on the machines offered by ORTO feature high reliability and wear-resistance which result into longer life and guarantee continuous run of your manufacture process.
